Norway wants to give cancer patients better opportunities to participate in clinical trials

The Norwegian Directorate of Health will assess the Norwegian systems for cancer patients and look at the experiences gained in Denmark. Nordic Trial Alliance is mentioned as example on Nordic collaboration. The Norwegian health authorities want patients to have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials. There is extensive collaboration between the Nordic countries on greater participation in international studies, including through the Nordic Trial Alliance, says Bjørn Guldvog, the Norwegian Director General of Health and Johan Torgersen, Division Director.   The Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services has taken the initiative to establish a national research infrastructure, NorCRIN, which will facilitate, among other things, clinical studies in Norway.
